Why chairs can’t solve back pain

Tom won The Apprentice 2011, but Lord Sugar is right to be dubious about his business idea. Tom proposed a chair to reduce back pain.  He argued that back pain is a large economic cost, and he’s right.  But changing chairs isn’t the solution.

So said Karen Brady to Zoe, who was fired from The Apprentice tonight.  It’s a fascinating metaphor, and one which reflects the subtle but powerful effect posture and body language have on us.
